We are looking for an kind and caring Au pair that wants to live in the UK.... Hi there, we are a happy go lucky family, my name is Nicky and my husband’s name is Wil, our eldest child Harry is 4 and will be 5 in October and Florence will be 3 in June. We also have a dog called Tinker who is 1, a hamster called Minion and fish. By the time you our new Au pair arrives we will also have a tortoise as its Wil’s birthday on the 7th May and the kids have bought him a tortoise for his present (no name yet). We would not expect anybody coming to live with us to take care of our pets only to like animals ? We live a spacious pretty 3 bedroom period house with our contemporary offices attached. The gardens, grounds and two workshops are set in approximately an acre with lawned children’s play area, raised beds, BBQ area and hot tub ?. We have recently converted a good sized studio apartment with bedroom, living and kitchen area including en-suite. Although the apartment is part of the house it does have a completely separate access giving whoever comes to Au Pair for us complete privacy. Although we are in a rural setting we are a 5-10 minute drive or bus ride from the large town centre of Telford with a large shopping mall with all the usual shops, restaurants, pubs, cinemas, public library, train station, bus station and ice rink. We are 40-45 minutes drive or train journey from "Birmingham" the second biggest city in England and 30 minutes drive from the beautiful and historic town of Shrewsbury and only a 5 minutes drive or walk able from the famous tourist attraction of I
I work 5-6 hours per day Monday to Friday at the offices of our family business which is attached to our home so I would never be far away if needed. The reason we need an au pair is to care for our children whilst I am at work and some help with the housework would be hugely helpful too. Juggling work, family life and a house can be tough which is why an Au Pairs help is so beneficial for us. Every day is different and flexibility is key, however, the child care responsibilities would involve dressing the kids, cleaning their teeth, bathing them, preparing their food, playing with them and cleaning up after them and putting toys away. I always leave the house clean and tidy when I leave and if I am honest I enjoy coming back to it like that where possible. We need child care for our children between 5-6 hours per day Monday to Friday and one evening a week to be agreed. Currently Harry goes to nursery on Tuesday and Thursday and Flossy goes on Thursday only. Our current Danish Au Pair Nikoline who finishes her 12 month contract in June currently works Monday 8-1:30 (has both children), Tuesday 9-2:30 (has Flossy only), Wednesday 11-4 (both children), Thursday she does light cleaning duties for 3-4hours (both children at nursery) and Friday 8-1 (both children). However during the school holidays we will need child care for both children for all five days and for those periods of time. We can’t quite believe it but Harry will be going to school full time in September and Flossy will go to nursery for at least 16 hours a week during term time so we will need a combination of a 50/50 split of childcare and light cleaning duties. Whilst caring for our children and playing with them would be the main responsibility we may also ask for help with loading and unloading the dishwasher, unloading the washing machine, putting the children's clothes away, making their kids beds, running the hoover around. You will also be ask that the kids food be prepared but it would be nothing more complicated that sandwiches, toast or to microwave something we have already prepared - a basic knowledge of cooking would be great. We look forward to hearing from anyone that is interested in coming to live with us ? P.s There is a push bike that is available for use whenever required. I am happy to share my car with anyone that has a clean EU drivers licence. There is a language centre 5 miles away that runs during term time. We have a landline telephone that can be used to make calls home to the family. The TV in the studio apartment has Netflix etc.
