Dear aupair, we'll be glad to welcome you in our family! We'd like our children often speak with an English mother-tongue (or nearly) person, but also having a loving friend/big sister to spend their spare time with! Torino is one of the most important northern cities of Italy, it was the ancient Italy Capital city and is the capital city of Piedmont region. So it's full of Architecture, History, Art, Fashion, Science, Sports (2006 Winter Olympics city), Movida and top Italian food and wine. The city centre has a Roman castrum ancient plan, so streets and avenues are all orthogonal so very easy to move in. Tube and bike sharing all over the city centre. Rich of parks, crossed by the biggest italian river and many other alpine rivers. Turin it's also strategical: it's sorrunded by beautiful hills, it's 1 hour and half far from Alp Mountains and Ligurian Riviera, and in half an hour you're in the spectacular Piedmont countryside (Langhe, Barolo, etc.).
We expect that the au pair will go to take the kids from the kindergarden and the school and bring them home, or to park, or to the other activities they have. That means that until 4.30 pm she is free to visit the city, attend language classes or what she prefers. A couple of evenings every week she will prepare or just provide them the dinner, because we come back home at 9 pm from the gym. Sometimes, if we need to be at our offices earlier in the morning, she has to prepare them and bring them to the school. Basic housekeeping related to children and herself (we’ve a maid).
