Personal introduction

Our children are very loved. We want them to feel love from their caregivers as well. It is also important that they have fun, and learn through play. We expect our children to obey our rules and be respectful of each other and of those taking care of them, but we aren't harsh or super strict. We want them to have fun experiences, and gain knowledge by exploring their world. It's very important to us that the caregiver have a genuine love of children and enjoy spending time in their company - not just be an au pair for the chance to be in the US and earn some money. We want to welcome our au pair into our family, and help them experience life in the US. Creativity and patience are also important to us. As well as an ability to have fun. Good Christian values are also important to us. Nick is a pilot, and his schedule is often unpredictable. I have a busy career, and it would be beneficial to have someone in the home to assist with taking care of the children. In addition, we love the idea of expanding the children's view of the world by getting to know someone from another country, and learn about another culture. We also really like the idea of them having an opportunity to learn a little bit of another language. I speak Spanish, having studied in college and studied abroad in both Mexico and Ecuador, and would love for my children to learn another language as well. I had always thought of hosting a foreign exchange student, and probably will in the future. Now that we are in need of in-home childcare, we thought inviting an Au Pair into our family would be

The Au pair's job

Typically, you would work Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. However, when Nick is home, he will watch the children, which will give you some free time. Occasionally, I will have an evening event, and if you have not worked 45 hours that week, I may ask you to watch the children then. We would want you to assist with breakfast for the kids, and getting them off to school. Our youngest, Maddux, would be home with you each day. He would need a healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack. During the summer, Adriana and Blake would also be home and would need the same. We would like the kitchen to be cleaned up after meals and snacks. The most important thing is to play with the children, and to engage them in fun activities, exercise, reading, etc. We would want you to assist them in picking up after themselves. Washing and folding the kids' laundry would also be a part of your duties, as well as other light household duties. It is important that our house stay clean.
