Dear Au pair, we are an Italian family living in Turin, a great city in Northern Italy. Fabio, my husband, is 47 years old. He's an engineer and travel a lot for work, so often I am the only parent at home with children. I am 37 years old, I manage my own business and... I look after children! We have two children: Olimpia, a little girl 4 years and a half old and Luigi, a little boy 3 years old. Olimpia is very energetic: she loves to play with her little friends, to make necklaces, to cook biscuits and...to make a mess all around! Luigi is more calm and sweet: he loves cars and... vacuuming the house! We live in the very centre of Turin and this is very convenient as you can reach many places by walking: shops, gyms, language schools, restaurants, pubs, museums, parks… We are a very sporty family: we like to go running, to go skiing during winter and to go swimming to the seaside during summer. Last year Olimpia started skiing during winter and this year.... also Luigi will start! During our free time we like to go out for a walk with children and friends, to make shopping, to go out for dinner, to go visit museums, to go out for a run, to invite friends at home or to go for a walk in the beautiful Italian countryside or at the mountains. We don't smoke and we generally eat in a healthy way: we like our children to behave in a polite way and, for us, good manners are very important! We would like our au pair to be interested in being a part of our family and to enjoi staying with us. At the same way we will make our best to be flexible with your needs and we ask you t
We are looking for an au pair English mother tongue or… with very fluent English. The most important characteristics you need to have are: 1) genuine love for children: you will have to stay with our children for about 25 – 30 hours per week so… it is fundamental you love to stay with them and we expect you to be able to interact with them and to involve them in fun activities. 2) To be responsible and mature: you have to keep children out of danger and always look after them during your working hours. 3) To be interested in being a part of our family and to behave in a polite way: we like to share our culture and way of life with our au pair and… at the same way we would like our au pair to enjoi staying with us and not use our home only as an hotel! CHILDCARE and LIGHT HOUSE WORKS: Au Pair’s job in our home consist in 70% of childcare (to prepare children in the morning, to take them to school and collect them from school, to play with them during afternoon involving them in fun activities always keeping them out of danger and always speaking in English) and 30% of light domestic works (to make children’s beds, tidy up their room, help in setting the table and in cleaning up the kitchen after each meal, to iron children’s clothes, to keep your room and the bathroom you use always tidy nice and clean). Please, note that we have a cleaner so we don’t need the au pair to make heavy domestic works. We also require 2-3 evenings of babysitting (always Friday and Saturday evening and sometimes another evening during the week) BENEFITS: • own bedroom and shared bathroom (with children) • Free WIFI (not during your working hours!) • Pocket money: 80 euros per week (than if you are good we can increase it a little bit!) • Free lodge and board • 1 day and a half free per week (usually Sunday plus nearly all Saturday, but not the evening when you have to babysit!) Please, feel free to ask any question you may have!
