We are a familiy of four. Two children, a girl 3 and a half years old, and a baby boy of 8 months old. We are an active and social familiy who lives at an small farm on the countryside, ca 20 minutes drive from Tønsberg city. We have hens to provide us with eggs, a pig and a cow. We’re not farmers, but like the free life at the countryside, with a lot og nature and some animals. There is altso a coupple of cats and a dog at our place. My husband and I have a passion for old American cars, and have a few of them parked in the barn to take out on sunny days to cruise with. At weekends we love to take trips to family and friends, but usually our house is well visited by our dear ones, all week long actually. We are also doing renovations of the farm in our freetime, it is a lot to keep up with having a big old house. But we love it, love the life and all the hard work.
Dear Au Pair We welcome you to our house, home, and lifestyle in the countryside of Tønsberg City here in Norway. You will be a part of our family, and we love to show you what Norway is all about by living with us. We need help with watching the youngest while we are at our dayjobs and some help around the house is well appriciated as well. We’ll figure it out together, I’m sure. And we love if you can cook some meals from your home country. We require that you speak English very well and that you are an EU citizen. I know that my writing is’nt the best, but for us it’s important that our communication is well fluent and good in English in your stay with us. We expect honesty, and right forward communication. We are direct, and by experience, most difficulties are avoided by speak from the heart. I hope you could learn us about you culture and food, and show us what you come from also! We love meeting new people and learn about cultures also. We expect you to have aupair experience with small cildren, this is a requirement. And you are willing to participate in the familiy and the tasks around the house and have experience in hosework, like laundry and washing floors etc. These are tasks that we do together and share ofcourse.
