We're an italian-brazilian couple, both teachers, and work in different towns, so we live in 2 houses - one in the countryside, in a small town, and an apartment in Sao Paulo. I work at the Physics Institute (Instituto de Física) of the University of Sao Paulo (USP) and live very nearby the campus. We travel to and fro - and to the beach and other places - quite often, and if you come with us, you're invited to come with in our trips or to enjoy yourself in Sao Paulo when we're not around. I am buddhist (and vegetarian) and my husband is Christian (and not-vegetarian). Our baby is very small and demands exclusive attention, but we need you to do this only while we are at work. You can then enjoy your free time with us or on your own. We will also expect you to share with us the house chores, such as washing dishes or passing the vaccuum cleaner. Our whole family consists of us three plus our 2 cats. We have a bedroom all equiped for you. We will require Au Pairs for the next years, and we prefer if you can stay with us for at least 6 months (but we can discuss other arrangements). We are always very excited about having guests with us, so you'll be most welcome!
We need you to interact with our child - play with him and watch over him while we work. This may include preparing meals - fruits and soups, mostly - organizing his toys and bedroom, going for short walks, singing songs, telling stories. We, parents, can speak English (fluently), Italian, French (not so fluently) and very little German. But we can teach you Portuguese if you like. Most of all, we need you to be patient, loving and affectionate with small children.
