Personal introduction

Hi, We are looking for an au pair who could travel with us. We have two boys, an almost 8 month old and an almost 2 year old. They are very good boys, but still require a lot of attention. They love to play games, sing songs, colour in, go to the park, etc.. We are living a different lifestyle to most, as we currently have no permanent home, and are travelling around Europe with two suitcases, two extra bags and two strollers. So if you are looking for mansions, staying in one place and all of the mod-cons, this is not the job for you. If however, you think travelling two three different countries with diverse and different cultures would be fun (and even better when its free) and you love little ones, this is the perfect position! We will be in France (Josselin - small town but with a lovely chateau, large park, at least two playgrounds and a river runnning through it) in September & October, Portugal (Lisbon - Alfama and in the heart of it all) for November, December & January, and then Ireland (Glengariff - 7 acre property) for February through to 31 May. There is a spare room in each place we are staying at, so you won't have to share with the children or anyone else. We would be willing to pay for your travel to us from your nearest capital city in Europe to our accommodations. Then once you are with us, your travel costs to each new home will also be covered by us. This is a great opportunity to not only travel (and you are welcome to take a week off in each location and do your own exploring of the rest of the country) but also to get fantastic experience

The Au pair's job

JOB SUMMARY Taking care of two boys, a baby and a toddler, plus doing your share of the housework, mucking in and being part of the family, but also being free to get out and about and do your own thing when we don’t need you (we would like the full time care work to occur 5 days a week, for approximately 5 hours a day). During the hours when we most need assistance, what we are looking for is someone who is confident that they could keep our two boys, cared for (nappies, meals, nap times, maintaining a safe environment) and entertained, in such a way that Mum and Dad will have some time without interruptions where they can concentrate on doing some work from home. Obviously however we know what it is like to look after two little ones at the same time so would always be available to assist when necessary. It would also be nice if Mum and Dad could go out once a week on their own, and the occasional sleep in…would be awesome! JOB SPECS - Live In (own room) - Time frame: 1st September, 2015 - Open ended but at this point we expect until 31 May 2016 at least. - One month initial trial to see if we all like each other. -180-200 Euros per week negotiable (+ Flights, Board, Meals and any costs incurred when looking after the children for example tickets to the zoo) - Flights to and from countries we stay in paid for by us from your nearest capital city (however if you live outside the EU you will need to get to Europe first yourself) - If you wanted to take an unpaid week off to do your own exploring of countries we are staying in, or go home to see family that would be fine with us so long as we were given notice.
