I am looking for an au pair on behalf of a friend who lives in Italy, for a 12 month period from September 2015. The family are very warm and welcoming, and have two children aged 5 and 1. The family are looking for someone who will very much enjoy being part of the family, and have a flexible approach to timings as they will need to vary on occasion, and who enjoys travelling.
Your responsibilities will include: Your main responsibility is to play with and teach English to our daughter. We would like you to help me with our two children, and to ensure that your room is always kept clean and tidy. Some meal preparation for dinner is also needed quite simple meals but if you have some good recipes then we will love to try them! Then after dinner your help with clearing dishes away will be appreciated in order to keep the kitchen tidy. Your normal hours will be spread between some in the morning, but mostly in the evenings from 17.00 onwards, but when we travel on holiday, the schedule will change a little and we will need someone who is able to be flexible during these times. On average, your hours will be 5 hours per day job for 5 days per week and for this we will pay you weekly "pocket money" of EURO 100 per week. We don’t have a need for any additional babysitting as, on the rare occasion my husband and I go out in the evenings, my parents will babysit for us. In terms of days off, although we are happy to agree 2 days off per week, that we will mutually agree your free days over a monthly period, because some weeks you will be required to help more than others depending on where we are in the country, and it will then be possible for you to plan extended days off in order to take a trip on your own if you wish to. We will pay you the same amount every week in order to simplify this process.
