Hi, I am a recently single dad with two wonderful kids. I work full time and as I am ex-south african I do not have family in Belgium. This results in needing logistical help with the kids and I though the best would be to get a au pair to look after their needs (school pick-up, sports drop-off/pick-up, etc).
You will mainly be expected to ensure the kids get picked up from school, get taken too/from extramural engagements and that they do their homework. As I am separated, it would mean that your tasks are 'easier' every second week when the kids are with their mom. We provide a car, accommodation, meals and decent compensation. I will also (from time to time) require evening baby sitting. I will try to ensure all meals are prepared by myself, but if I am in meeting or late, it would be needed to ensure the kids get a hot meal.
