We have had Au Pairs from Russia since the children were born. They are almost 4 years old now and are fluent in Russian. We have many friends from our travels to Russia and it is our goal to not only provide exceptional care for our children, but we want them to know multiple languages as well. Right now they are fluent in 3 languages. We want to make sure their Russian language development continues. That is where you come in. There are hundreds of options for childcare, we decided the best option for us is to invite an Au Pair from Russia to come and share their language and culture with the kids. Being an Au Pair is not easy. It is a lot of work and often long hours. In exchange, you will have your own private room, all the food you can eat (you pick out the food, we pay for it) and endless exposure to the American culture and English language. You can learn a lot about America while you are here, but only if you really want to. We use American Sign Language, Russian and English in the household. The mother is Deaf uses ASL only to communicate. The twins know all three languages fluently. They are a handful and will keep you busy chasing them all over. We stay active by multiple outdoor adventures. You will need to be high energy and highly motivated.
***** At this point in the children's language development we can only accept Au Pairs fluent in Russian If you do not know Russian we cannot consider you right now***** We are two working parents. The father has odd hours and is in and out of the house all day. The mother has a more regular schedule. You will be responsible for continuing the children's education in Russian and caring for them all day. The kids enjoy watching movies, eating, and forcing you to read books to them. The do not enjoy nap time, being told no, and cleaning up their mess. To be honest it is not easy to care for twins. They are incredibly interesting and want to be involved in everything.
