Please note updated profile 30/5 as our daughter got a place in daycare. We are a Danish-Australian family consisting of Mum from Denmark, Dad from Australia and two happy girls (aged ~1 and ~4 years). We speak both Danish and English in the home. We live in Copenhagen city in a large modern apartment by the waterside. We have a large outdoor area to which your room will have direct access to. We have kayaks which you can also use. Although we have a car we primarily use our bikes to get around town including a cargo bike for the kids. You need to be comfortable with cycling as you will also need to cycle in Copenhagen e.g. picking up the kids or grocery shopping from time to time. So if you are not fit now you will be! :-)ïŠ As a family we are happy and active. We enjoy travelling and doing things together. We often go cycling, kayaking, go to the Zoo, Tivoli etc. or spend time with friends and family. If you like, you are very welcome to come with us! :-) It is important to us that you are a responsible and caring person who likes to be with children (experience is a preference). If you are Australian this a a plus but not must. We are looking forward to welcoming you into our family!
For the first couple of months we need you to pick up our baby daughter early in daycare in the weekdays where we are working. Spend time with her, e.g. go for walks, playground, play at home or other activity. When she is a bit older she can have longer days in daycare but we still need your help with picking her up. From time to time we also need your help with picking up our oldest daughter from daycare. We will usually drop the kids off ourselves in daycare in the morning so you can usually have the mornings off :-) In addition, we expect you to do housework such as cleaning, cooking and grocery shopping as well as occasional babysitting. We primarily need your help in the weekdays.
