Personal introduction

Hello, My partner and myself have full-time demanding careers and would love to have an Au Pair help us look after our little man Joshua and our baby (due in December 2015) when I go back to work after maternity leave. Joshua has been cared for by Childminders since he was 10 months old so is very accustomed to having someone other than Mummy and Daddy look after him for long periods of time (and he absolutely adores women!). We have unfortunately struggled to keep a Childminder longer than a year due to the long hours we require care for in order to work, proving a strain on their own family lives. We therefore feel a live-in carer who could also help provide some relief from the pick-ups and drops offs to childcare and some (light) house hold chores, would be a fantastic childcare option for us going forward. We're a well traveled couple and love getting to know new people and different cultures

The Au pair's job

I leave to go to the office in London at 7.35am 3-4 days a week returning home at 6.30pm I do try to work 1-2 days a week from home which gives me a break from the commute! My hours are 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday, which I cannot change. My partner Shane works a bit more locally, but needs to leave just after 8am and returns home a bit after 6pm. His hours are also 9am-5.30pm which he also cannot change. Therefore we will require our son and new baby to be cared for during these times while we work, though Joshua will be starting school in September, so just the baby during the day. Obviously I can help when I am at home, but do have to concentrate primarily on my work. We do sometimes like to go for bike-rides just me an Shane on the weekend and go out for dinner from time to time, but care during these times isn't 'expected', and would just be a nice bonus we'd be happy to pay a bit extra for.
