We are a young family living in Sweden. We have a 3 year old daughter who is full of energy and a 2 month old baby. We mainly look after the baby and the Au Pair will barely be required to do anything until the baby starts crawling. We are primarily English Speaking and looking for an Au Pair who can speak English well for the sake of our children. Otherwise Swedish would be acceptable. We are moving back to the UK in July/August 2015, then moving again to the USA in July 2016. Therefore the Au Pair must be willing to travel and relocate after July.
We would ideally like someone who has respect for other people and is very honest. Honesty is very important to us as we need to be able to 100% trust you with our children. Someone who takes initiative, fast learner and has experience of living away from home. You will not be required to drive but it would be helpful if you can drive. You must have a GENUINE love for kids and exploring different cultures. You will be expected to help with all household duties, taking our daughter to nursery, entertaining her and taking part in some of our family activities. Although Västerås isn't a huge city, we would encourage our Au Pair to explore the city and surrounding areas/ countries during weekends. You need to have previous experience as an Au Pair and proof that you have lived away from home before [verifiable reference from previous Au Pair placements]. Please do not apply if you are coming here for the purpose of moving closer to a boyfriend/girlfriend. As above - Speak some English/ Swedish. Be adaptable, relatable, reliable, not lazy, happy person who smiles. We are moving back to the UK in July/August 2015, then moving again to the USA in July 2016. Therefore the Au Pair must be willing to travel and relocate after July.
