We live in Milan. Luigi teaches at the law school of the University of Milan, Silvia is a family lawyer. Our children are Giovanni (9), Francesca (7) and Rachele (4). Milan it's a modern and international city and it offers a lot culturally. In 2015 Milan will host the EXPO (international fair). Millions of visitors are expected from all over the world: the theme is food and sustainable development. Besides that, the region of Milan has a lot to offer, with beautiful historic cities (Bergamo, Pavia, Mantova), the lakes (Como, Iseo, Maggiore and Garda) and the mountains close by. Venice, Florence and Rome are all within a 3 hours train trip. The apartment is new: we moved in in January 2014. You will have for yourself a private bedroom on the top floor, with a nice private bathroom annexed. In addition to taking care of the kids during the week after school and some cooking, we'll be happy if you join us for whatever weekend activity is planned. We will expect from you to share the kind and loving atmosphere of our family. We love our house and we like to cook various Italian dishes for you or our guests. Despite the grandparents, who have helped us a lot with the children, are still available, we think that for our kids it is still important to learn to live with people who do not speak their language, and that may have different habits and culture. We are sure you will find our family friendly, open to dialogue , peaceful and inspiring.
You are going to take care of the kids after they finish school at 4.30 pm and go to various activities (sports, music), visit their friends, or they do their homeworks at home. Your help would concern only the care of children in the afternoon and some dinner cooking for them on weekdays. We would like you to help them in the afternoon with their activities and tasks, speaking English and playing with them. On weekends we take the kids to the swimming pool, and we like biking (in spring), or visiting our friends and grandparents. But most of the time, we simply rest and enjoy our home and staying together. You might also help some mornings when they are sick (it doesn't happen so often any more), and grandparents are not available. Also occasionally, we might ask you to take one of the kids someplace on a Saturday or a Sunday, when for example we have some work to do (sadly it happens), and the children may have conflicting schedules (usually birthday parties). But obviously this happens very rarely, and if you have arranged to do something else, we will find another way. Our children are friendly, very affectionate, obedient enough and independent. Giovanni is very responsible, loves cycling and sports. Francesca loves to read, Rachel loves to do... everything her siblings do. They really enjoy being together with other people and are accustomed to being open towards others.
