To our future Au Pair, who we are looking to have an extended family member. My name is Tim and I am a single father living in Sonoma County which is the wine county of California. My boys, Gavin who is 11 and Gaige who is 8 and I moved back here at the beginning of the year as they both were born in Santa Rosa and all our family lives here. We are very lucky to have their grandparents, Larry and Linda, Uncle and Aunt, Chris and Missy, their cousins Taylor, Tanner and Brooklyn who everyone spends a lot of time together and all are very involved with helping me raise the boys. We also have all our extended family in the Northern California area and I have a girl friend who lives in Redondo Beach, CA where we will be spending some time since the boys really enjoy surfing. We are a very active family where we love to take advantage of everything living in California has to offer us. On the weekends when we aren’t at one of the boys sporting events, we love to ski and spend as much time in the mountains as possible since we spent the last 8 years in Colorado, where amazing ski resorts like Aspen, Vail and Beaver Creek are located in the Rocky Mountains. Both boys are expert skiers and we honestly do miss having snow but replacing it with the beach, surfing and the beautiful California sunshine has made for an easy transition. I am looking for something who can come in an help manage the childrens lives with me by helping set their schedule on a calendar, take to their activities, help prepare all their needs regarding sports, activities, school, meals etc... Someone who can take charge, be a family member and help out with the children and house hold without having to be told to do everything. We eat healthy and would love for the person who joins our family to help with that effort of having a balanced diet and encourage the children to do so as well. The person would do light house work to keep the home tidy and do laundry for us, help with shopping when the boys are in school and just always do whatever is necessary to make everything run smooth and efficient so everything it taking care of including her needs and we can have fun. We are a very active family who loves to bike, hike, ski, you name it and would love for the au pair to be active as well and bring new activities and a new culture into our home. We are living back in our home town where all our family is located so we are very involved with spending time with our family.
