We are a small and friendly family of three: Linda (Mum), Jonathan (Dad) and our little baby Alex. We don’t have any pets. Alex is a good baby. He only gets grumpy when he's hungry or needs to be cleaned. He enjoys having attention, music and stimulation. We like to bring our baby in a very loving and supportive environment. We try to avoid using negatives and like to encourage good behaviour. Jonathan (32 years old) is a Spanish civil engineer and Linda (30 years old) is a Chinese descent who works in a technological company. We both are nice and quiet people. Linda will be all day at home taking care of the baby until the second week of April, so on the first month(s) you will just help her with the baby. We live in nice flat with 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in the city centre of Barcelona. So, the area is served with very good public transportation an there’re lots of shops, touristic attractions, etc. During the weekend, we like to go to the beach, travel around small villages, hike in the mountains and visit our relatives.
We are looking for an au pair who is responsible but fun and sweet for the baby. We require experience looking for children or being part from a large family with lot’s of Childs. Our au pair will be expected to look after the baby for approximately 35 hours per week and help us with very light housework such as cook lunch 2-3 times per week. We don’t expect you to be a Mastercheif but just be able to make a spagetti, pasta, or make salad, etc. We don’t expect you to clean de house but just keep your own room and bathroom clean. We would also like you to teach Linda (Mum) a bit of English and we'd like to learn about your culture. There is no need to drive because the baby doesn’t go to school. Besides, we live in a very centric area (with good public transportation), so driving a car is not the best option. We will provide you with our own room and bathroom, as well as internet connection. Evenings are free as well as weekends. So, you will have time to sightsee the city, go to the beaches or do some Spanish courses. We speak among ourselves in Spanish, so that could be an opportunity for you to learn some of our culture and language. Anyway, we don’t require any knowledge of Spanish. Our priority is a native English speaker au pair or with very good level of English. We are happy to discus all in future emails. We are really excited to find our new Aupair to join our family!
