I am a single father with two kids (6 and 4 years old). Reasonably friendly and easy going. I live in a historic town of Mikulov (old Nikolsburg) right on the border of Austria and the Czech Republic (Moravia). I run a small bed and breakfast (with six guestrooms) called Nicolsburg (the old Latinized name of Mikulov). Kids native language is Russian but they also speak Czech with native proficiency (with an adjustment granted for the age) and German (Austrian German as they go to the kindergarten and school in Austria). The boy (6 years old) speaks a little English as well. I am a hobby analogue photographer, avid reader, occassionally a passionate cook. There are smokers around but not in the house (smoking is permitted for everyone on the terrace or in the sitting area of the courtyard). I speak English fluently as well as (of course) Russian and German
I would prefer an au pair or a nanny from an English speaking country but would consider other options. The nanny or au pair must have a driver's license. This is more or less a regular job. You will be waking the kids up, getting them ready for the school and the kindergarten respectively, then you are going to drive them to the school and kindergarten, talk with the teacher(s) in the morning, then a) the entire day is free (except perhaps Wednesday) or b) if you want to help with the guesthouse then that's additional job (which you don't have to take on but something you can also do for additional remuneration), then pick the kids up at 3 o'clock, bring them to the afterschool activities (like music classes), talk in English (if this happens to be English), bring them home, bath the kids. You are not expected to do anything extra unless you want to. Compensation includes accommodation in your own room with all facilities en suite and the use of a (small but very nice) car. This position is available until the end of the school year (June) 2014 and is possibly renewable. Work is Monday through Friday except for school vacations. You must be good with kids. You must be able to get up very early (at 6 am). You must also be very dependable because kids will depend on you.
