We are a family of four (two children, a girl and a boy) and we live on a beautiful property in rural NSW, Australia. The closest town is 35km from our house. We live on a farm and there is a small community of other people who also live and work on this farm. We are a close family and have travelled a lot (before and since having children) and would be pleased to welcome the right person into our home. We have had an au pair before and found the experience to be very positive. We are seeking someone with a can-do, positive attitude who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and playing with them. One of us works full-time and other part-time so it is important that our au pair is happy (and enthusiastic) about cooking, doing the washing and cleaning. The children go to daycare a couple of days a week so there is sufficient time to complete these tasks. We are happy to have someone who is trying to improve their english, the main thing for us is that the person we welcome into our home is enthusiastic, positive, shows initiative, has a keen sense of fun and makes the most of life. We set clear boundaries with our children - routine is very important to us - but also encourage them to get the most out of life. We consider an au pair to be a member of our family, in terms of making her feel welcome, but also respect that time apart is important for both parties.
