We are family who has very close experience of aupair life (We met each other during so called aupair year). Now we have own children and we would like to offer au pair experience (hopefully as good and positive as we have had) to somebody else who likes to help us with the kids and household and live in our home/family with us. We have 3 childre: girls 7 and 2 years and 4 year boy. Oldest daugter is starting school in August and our boy is going to kindergarden this Autumn. Youngest one will be still at homecare and that's why we specially would like to have an aupair. We are multi lingual family. Children manage Estonian, Finnish and Swedish (we parents manage also fx. with English, German, Scandinavian languages and Russian). Children are very social, active and lovely.
We have couple of years own experience of aupair life in different families thats why our own expectations to au pair are quite similiar as we have had - in short help with children and housework. An we will follow the au pair regulation in Finland: http://www.vero.fi/en-US/Individuals/Arriving_in_Finland/Household_employee_au_pair_from_overseas(17265) In our family the need for help can be described: In the mornings when two oldest children are going to school / daycare: helping with breakfast, clothing etc. And after that taking care of our youngest child and household. Going to parks, playgrounds,open daycare centers, etc. In the afternoons to pick-up children from daycare and cook / warm up some dinner. We expect you to have basic cooking skills. In the evenings when the children have hobbies we may need help with that. It's important that you have driving licence and basic cooking skills. We hope that you don´t mind doing housework, like: putting things back to their places and helping kids to learn to do it (clothes, toys), vacuuming, laundry, keeping places tidy and in order. If you are intrested to take Finnish or Swedish lessons - it can be possible. (Also later on to combine your possible studies with au-pair work.) Usually your week-ends are free but we do not mind if you want to spend your sparetime with us.
