We are family with mom, dad, 2 kids, 2 cats and a dog living in small town (=middle of nowhere). I and my husband are both working out of the town sometimes. We are living in old farm (in new house anyway, boys are at school/daycare and have many hobbies. You need to get along with kids and survive at home with them also over night.
Most important is to take care of kids and pets.Household and cooking are needed at least when alone at home, and nice help always. If you happen to like gardening, you can do it, but not needed at all.
