We live in Lucerne, Switzerland, and have a two year old. Our household is German and Latin-American. Three languages are spoken. I have had au pairs for the summer but I am looking for an au pair for the rest of the year. My husband is a Manager at one of the Swiss companies nearby and worked for NASA for many years.I am a Spanish teacher who is trying to learn German hence the need of help. We are looking for a German and English speaking au pair.
We are looking for someone responsible, reliable, honest, caring and who will take care of our child with love and patience. We are looking for 35 hours a week. We need some flexibility for our date night out and one day a week for us. Two days off a week but every weekend we need someone to stay with the baby at least one day and take off a weekday instead. Once or week take care of him at night versus during the day. Includes feeding him, fixing light meals, playing with him, reading to him, changing diapers and clothing..giving him a bath. I cannot stress how much we are looking for someone reliable. As far as light work in the house, we expect the person we look after herself and help out with the kitchen when I cook for the family.
