Personal introduction

We are a happy, busy unique family; unique because our middle child is disabled. We have 3 children; a bright 18 year old called Benjamin who is at university studying engineering. We have a very happy resourceful, articulate and fiercely independent 7 year old son Zachary, and we have the most adorable 13 year old daughter, Gabriella who has cerebral palsy and needs support physically at all times. She is bright and can talk but you need to listen carefully. She is full of joy and incredibly loving. However, physically she cannot stand, or sit without support. Therefore she needs the most help. Mum is a Headteacher of a school and dad has his own building business. We have a lovely home and you will have your own room. We are Christians. We go To church on Sunday's as a family. We have a close family and grandma lives very close. We are happy for our au pair to be a member of our family. We have a great relationship with our old au pair. We are a busy busy family so our au pair must like a busy lifestyle.

The Au pair's job

We need an au pair to take care of our 2 youngest children. Gabriella is special and we need someone who will be confident to work with her and love her! She attends special school but the au pair will start at 6:30am on three days of the week and 7:30am for the other two days when Gabriella sleeps over at her school. You will get gabriella ready for school in the mornings, ready to leave by 7:30am when she is collected by private bus to go to school. (Except Tuesdays and Fridays as she sleeps at school on Mondays and Thursdays). At 7:30am the au pair will get Zachary ready for school then drive/take a bus to take Zachary to school by 8:40am. You will do 1 hour of housework or ironing to keep the children's rooms clean. You will collect Zachary at 3:15pm and Gabriella comes home from school at 5pm. You will be responsible for both children until 6pm. Grandma is also close by and she often helps too, so there is flexibility. Weekends are free. The au pair should be available to babysit once per week. No experience needed as we can train, but you just need to be confident. During the day the housework involves chores like tidying, washing pots, put the washing on and do a little ironing, keeping the children's room clean. We have excellent English schools where you can study.
