We are looking for someone who loves dogs. This may be an unusual thing to say in an au pair letter, but our family is growing up now, and we are really looking for some-one to come and stay with us and be part of family life, helping with running of the home, walking the dogs and facilitating teenage activities during the holidays. There is plenty of free time and a car is provided as we live in the country. We have had a lot of experience with au pairs since 2004 and they would be happy for you to contact them. Many of our au pairs come back to visit and we consider them part of the family still. We live halfway between the towns of Horsham and Guildford in the West Sussex countryside. There are language colleges in Guildford and you have the opportunity to meet and make friends with other au pairs. We hope you will consider this slightly unusual job as we promise lots of fun and social activities as part of our family. We encourage visits from your friends and family too. Regards Louise
The job involves helping to run a busy household, walking the dogs and being a friend to our teenage son. There is light housework and some cooking, but lots of free time for your own activities such as college or visiting London with friends. There are many other au pairs in the area, despite it being a rural location. They have their own local Facebook group.
