We are looking for an au pair preferably from an EU country who speaks reasonable French, preferably with previous au pair experience or experience with children to help take care of our twin girls. The main work would be to prepare and take the girls to school in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon and look after them until we return from work and some cleaning (optional). Weekends and most evenings would be free. Own room with wifi and tv provided and a car will be available for you. Driving license is compulsary. We are an Anglo-Belgian couple living in a rural location in northern France, near the Belgian border. We have two 2 year old twin girls (almost 3), Juliette and Lea. We live in a house with a large garden on the edge of a very small and quiet village. The girls are very charismatic and enjoy being with and interacting with people.We enjoy good food, cooking and travelling. English, French and Bulgarian are spoken. My Belgian / Bulgarian parents live next door so there is always someone to help out if needed. For anyone looking to improve languages we speak French and English all the time so the girls will be bilingual but this can be a great oppurtunity for someone to improve one or both or learn a second language if you only have one of the two already.
Most important for us is to find someone who enjoys spending time with children, someone who will be their friend not just someonewho treats this as a job.We hope you will be part of the family while also feeling free to do your own activities. The work will mainly be getting the girls ready and taking them to school 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs) then taking care of them until we are back from work. Wednesday is a half day at school. Some cleaning is preferred but optional.
