Dear prospective Aupair! My family and I are currently living in a small town outside Oslo called Fagerstrand which is situated on a peninsula called Nesodden, Norway. Our small family is kind, warm and caring and we look forward to welcoming another person into our lives.
We require the following service: 1) Pick up and/or drop off youngest daughter to school every day (mon-fri), and spend approximately two hours looking after her until I am home from work. 2) Eldest daughter walk to school but require minor follow-up, e.g. ensure she does homework and talk to her. 3) I am required to travel for work and may be away overnight. In such situations I require that you take care of my daughters whilst I am away. This adds the following duties: a) doing bedtime b) getting youngest child ready for nursery in the morning (this would include dressing and washing child, giving child breakfast and bringing child to nursery) 4) If child is ill and I cannot be with child (I will always be there if the child has a high temperature or is very ill or otherwise distressed) then Au pair would be required to look after the child during the day. 5) Help keep the household running smoothly, e.g. help with cleaning, hoovering and laundry. 6) Walk the dog once per day. The walk is suggested done in conjunction with picking up youngest child from nursery. I estimate that duty 1) will take 10 hours every week. The remaining time (of the 35 hours of work expected) will be divided between the other duties as required, depending on what is going on in a particular week. I will support you in having a good life in Norway. There are quite a few aupairs from the Philippines on Nesodden and many more in Oslo where there is also a warm church community should this interest you.
