Hello, welcome! We are a family of 5 with 3 young girls. We are used to living with au-pairs and we will give you all space and support needed to make it a succes for both of us. We are living 300 mtrs from the railway station (3 min Leiden, 15 min The Hague, 40 min Amsterdam). Both parents are working, but not long hours. Kids are used to speak Duch and English so this will make communication a lot less complicated. We are living a active life, going sailing during summer / ski in winter etc. We are looking for a responsible positive open minded person willing to take initiative (do not wait for orders) and make the best out of this experience. Pls only EU residents.
Take care of the children first. They are very responsible, but still need some guidence. In the early morning help them to go to school, in the afternoon make them feel home or help them to go to sport or friends. In between organize the house and get some fresh food. Cook for the evening and join us for the meal (very important moment). In most evenings and nearly all weekends you are off to study or visit friends. You will get all support to learn languages and you even can use a real Dutch bike. You will have your own nice room on ground level seperated from the house, own shower, TV, WIFI etc. They call it a "hotel room". Next to the standard au pair fee we will give you a train reduction card so you can travel for 50%. Extra work & pay is possible, but first try to meet friends and make it a good year.
