We are a multi cultural family. My name is Nathalie and I am French & German. My husband is Sean and is American. We have 3 children, Liam (11), Chloe (7) and Erik (5). I speak german to the kids, Sean english and they go to a French & American School. We live in Jersey City, accross from a park in a brownstone. We are 10 min away by Ferry or Path train from New York. We are both working full time and all kids go to school from 8h15-15h/16h. We are looking for a fun, loving, caring, energetic au pair to help take care of the kids but mostly enjoy spending time with them. We want the au pair to feel integrated in our family but also be independent and enjoy to discover New York.
The main thing would be to pick up the kids from school and bring them to their activities. Play with them at the park, help with bath time and homework/reading if necessary. During the day, we would need some help to do the kids laundry and occasionally basic cooking for them. Maybe run an errand to get milk or bread.
