We're a Slovenian-Dutch family looking for a Slovenian au pair to come and live with us in Hilversum, The Netherlands. We're a family of 5. Geert and Neža - we're parents to Svit (7), Arne and Bine (5). Yes, twins. But they don't look like it. Geert is working as a smart building strategist and Neža is at the local university. Geert is Dutch, Neža is Slovenian. In our household, we speak 3 languages: Dutch, Slovenian, and English. We're hoping to work with a Slovenian-speaking Au Pair so the boys will develop a better grip of the language. During the weekends we love spending our time outside in nature. We bike, swim, SUP, and walk a lot. We also love going to kids-friendly museums. Hilversum has 90 000 inhabitants, and it is 2 train stops away from major cities like Amsterdam and Utrecht. It's a lovely town with a vibrant international community and plenty of nature to enjoy a bike ride, a swim or a walk in the forest. If we had time for hobbies, we'd have them. Hopefully with extra help from an AuPair we can actually have hobbies ;) A weird thing we do: we give names to all our transportation means. The car is named Bingo, the camper Ronja, the bike trailer for the kids is Betsy. Hope to get to know you soon! Pozdrave, Neža z družino
Daily duties: The duties of the AuPair would be bringing them to school, picking them up, and take care of them after school until we finish work around 17:30-18h. The afternoon care takes place 3-4 times per week. So not every school day. Apart from that, a steady 1-2 evenings a week would be when he/she would put the boys to bed and nanny till the parents return from their hobbies. Occasional weekend day here and there - to be determined on a monthly basis. Light household tasks like cooking a meal and tidying up. All depends on the talent and skills of the person. Free time: Mornings from around 8:30-13:30 would be free, so would be many of the weekends and most evenings. Holidays: During the school holidays time the AuPair would either take care of the boys the whole week (if we choose not to travel that holiday) and then have time off, or would have the time to herself if we went somewhere for holidays.
