Hello and welcome to our family's profile! We are a wonderful family of four, residing near the vibrant city of Düsseldorf, Germany. Allow us to introduce ourselves: Aron (37), Controller, Sophie (40), Lawyer, and our two precious boys: Tristan (almost 2) and Arthur (3). In our household, you'll find a loving and lively atmosphere where laughter and play are abundant. Our family's primary languages are German and English, providing an excellent opportunity for cultural exchange and language support. We appreciate and celebrate the diversity of languages and cultures. There are no specific cultural, religious, or dietary considerations you need to be aware of. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds and beliefs. As for the role and responsibilities we are looking for from an au pair, our primary need is childcare. We believe in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for our children's growth and development. If you're interested in joining our family's journey, please reach out to us. We look forward to getting to know you better and sharing this wonderful cultural experience together!
We usually get up around 7 am and head out the door around 8 am. The boys are in daycare between 8/9 am and 2:30 pm. Sophie works every day between 9 am and 2 pm and Aron works full time. Currently, we are both lucky to be able to work from home office around 2-3 days a week. Monday at 5 pm Sophie takes the boys to a gym class where they can run around and have fun. On the other afternoons we either have playdates at home or we go to nearby playgrounds with our electric bike and bicycle trailer. It is rare that we have nothing planned in the afternoon. We try to have a home cooked sit-down meal at around 6pm every evening. Aron is not always able to join due to his work but he always tries his best. Around 7:30pm, we take the kids upstairs togehter and put them to bed. We are flexible but you should expect to be working around 3-5h a day (5 days a week). Since the boys are in daycare, the bulk of the work will be in the afternoons - with the exception of a bit of help to get them ready in the morning. Also, if daycare is closed or one of the boys is too sick to go, we will probably ask you to support while Sophie has to work. We have never had an aupair but we are confident we can learn together what works best for all of us. We offer 350 € as a compensation plus whatever you'll need during your stay. It's not a problem at all if you want to travel around. We also have a holiday flat in Austria (Vienna, Salzburg) which you can take advantage of. We are also happy to invite you on our family vacations, if you are interested.
