We are looking for an au pair to help with our three children. We are located in the Swiss alps near Gstaad. The successful applicant will need to be energetic, enjoy the outdoors, like dogs and be willing to muck in. The position will involve lots of swimming at the local swimming pools and lakes, outdoor activities, joining for family holidays in summer and skiing in winter. Weekly French lessons paid for and a ski pass will be provided for the winter season
The role would involve around thirty hours a week looking after the children, organising activities walking the children to school, preparing meals and helping with bedtime etc. In winter it would involve taking them skiing, summer lots of swimming. You would be expected to help with light housework and walking the dog sometimes.Normally you would have Sundays off and work two Saturdays a month which would mainly be joining us on days out/trips, with babysitting some evenings. You would get four weeks holiday per year.We will pay board and lodging and you receive ‘Pocket money’ which is set by the state. Normally you then pay half of the insurances, social security, pension etc. but we are happy to do that so you will get approximately the full amount in your pocket. You will also receive contributions to the swiss pension scheme. disability insurance, sick pay, unemployment insurance, accident insurance are all covered and we also pay for your monthly health insurance. We will also organise weekly french lessons.
