We are a family of four with another older daughter who lives away at school. We love having au pairs live with us and have had three over the past four years who we still speak to. I (mum) work part time and dad works full time. We enjoy food and walks on the beach the most, but also love sitting in and watching Outlander (our favourite series). Our daughter loves soft play centres and anything Disney. We are looking for someone who can help us with the two children for two-three days a week with one night to babysit. We would ideally want someone who is motivated, independent but who enjoys doing the simple activities with our children too.
Our au pair will work two-three full days but our four year old is at nursery during this time anyway. Cooking is not essential but you would need to prepare something two-three times a week and we all share the rest. Housework is also not essential, just do what you would do at home and help a little. Our home is close to the sea and mountains and is in a village just ten minutes from a large town. The town, Elgin, has a college and university for an au pair who might like to study as well as many shops. Buses run from outside our house to the cities of Aberdeen and Inverness. Our au pair bedroom is very large, with its own shower and toilet. It is away from the children so you will have your own private time. Your host mum will work three days a week and host dad will work five days a week. Our daughter goes to nursery for two and a half days so just needs picking up and dropping off.
