Personal introduction

Country family of four, living on a small beef cattle farm in North East Victoria, plus dogs, horses and beef cattle, looking for someone to come and help care for a cute baby boy (1 year old) and be part of our family and everyday life. Would suit someone who loves exploring and adventure, outdoors, photography, rural communities and farm life. We are very flexible with your schedule and easy going, and offer good pay and benefits and beautiful place to live with easy access to Melbourne CBD, snow fields, wine regions etc. Harry is one and Charlie is twelve, (but only lives with us part time, so care will be just for Harry majority of the time). We are a fun and busy household. We always seem to be going somewhere or doing something, which you are very welcome to to be a part of. We are two and a half hours from Melbourne and about twenty minutes from our local town Benalla. We have horses and regularly use them for cattle work and to play Polocrosse. We love dogs and animals. We look forward to sharing our home, family, cooking and lifestyle with someone and learning more about a new culture.

The Au pair's job

We require a live in, reliable, family orientated female Au Pair to work approx thirty five hours a week in exchange for board and pocket money. We offer a three month and 6 month bonus/incentive. Duties include light housework and or cooking and care for Harry three full days a week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and remaining hours will be flexible each week for occasional babysit at night or half days. Most of the time, you will not be required to work weekends. The rest of your time off can be spent with us or travelling the North East region and/or visiting Melbourne and catching up with friends etc. Although we are in the country, we are very close to snow fields, Melbourne City, Albury/Wodonga, wine regions and mountains etc. You will have access to a car for days off, or can be dropped to the nearest train station or Albury Airport. Board includes, your own room with King bed and TV and bathroom is shared only when other guests are here. Unlimited WiFi and Netflix. It would be great if you have an interest in country life or horses but not essential. Drivers license and some experience is essential.
