Personal introduction

Hi future Au Pair. We are a friendly and fun family living in Wiltshire by Stonehenge. With good bus routes to Salisbury and close to a train station with direct ninety minute routes into London. We have hosted au pairs before, which has mostly been a great experience. We stay in touch with one particularly who lives in Spain. She visits regularly and mum and Harry love to visit her. Mum (me) is a nurse, who works all day and night Thursday and Monday nights. I occasionally have to work all day and night on Saturday. I also have my own business for a few hours once or twice a week in the evening. Dad goes away on business every couple of months. But otherwise works close by monday-friday. Harry is four years old. He is a sweet, kind and gentle boy who loves being outside and adores animals. Harry is at school Monday-Friday. He goes to a school which is a close walk away. Although Harry is four, he is very behind and has a speech and language disorder. He is more like a three year old with his language skills, but is patient and brilliant at communicating in other ways. He loves to play and read stories. He will need someone who is patient and willing to get to know what a beautiful special little boy he is.

The Au pair's job

Our lives are a bit crazy with Dad sometimes being away. We will need an au pair who is flexible. You will have AT LEAST two days off a week, more when Dad is home, and time off when Harry is at school and mum is at work. We need someone willing to look after Harry alone at night (but he is AMAZING at sleeping), as I work two or three nights a week. Very occasional weekends will be required. Get Harry up, brush teeth, have breakfast and get dressed and walk Harry to school three mornings a week. Collect Harry from school, walk home, play with him, make him something simple for dinner, bath him, read him two stories and put him to bed. Maximum three nights a week. Able to do some evening babysitting. We want our au pair to be a member of the family. To fit in with our lives, be flexible and happy to help with Harry, our gorgeous brilliant dog and some light housework. We would love you to spend time with us as a family and come on days out. We will also respect your privacy when you want quiet time alone. You will have your own bedroom, WiFi and share a bathroom with Harry.
