We are a happy, active family living in a lovely part of England, about 8 miles from Oxford and 40 miles from London. We are looking for someone to help us in our busy lives. We are very used to sharing our lives and welcoming someone in to our home as we used to have a lovely nanny and we currently have an au pair. Our former nanny would be very happy to speak to you to tell you all about us. Our au pair has been happy with us for the last 6 months, but will be leaving us in September to return to her studies. We have two lovely boys, aged 5 and 7. They are outgoing, fun-loving, kind and (usually!) well-behaved boys. They enjoy a variety of activities and sports and they share a love of books and music. I work 3 days per week and my husband works full time. We are looking for a caring, pro-active, organised, easy-going and fun person to come and help keep family life running smoothly. You must enjoy spending time with children and be prepared to play games (inside and outside the house). You will have plenty of free time to take an English course, should you wish. We are close to Oxford where there are lots of courses available.
3 days per week, your day will start at 6.50am. I will get the children up and start their breakfast. You would then finish getting the children ready and take them to school (leaving home at approximately 7.30am). Then tidying up after breakfast, emptying/loading dishwasher, boys' laundry, preparing the boys' evening meal. You will usually be finished by 10am. In the afternoon on my working days you will usually work from about 3pm-7.15pm. At around 4.15-5pm, depending on the day) you would collect the children, bring them home, play games, feed them, help with homework, give them a bath and you may need to put them to bed, depending on my schedule and my husband's. You will have your weekends free, except for some babysitting, by prior arrangement. We would anticipate that over the year babysitting would average out at 1 night per week. You will usually also have Thursdays and Fridays free (or whichever days are my non-working days). We have a cleaner once a week, so you would not have to do the cleaning, just everyday clearing away/dishwasher etc. I would also appreciate some help with the children's laundry.
