My name is Sara Ekman, I am 34 years old (turning 35), married and have a 18 months old daughter. I am Swedish, my husband is Spanish (but from Catalonia so speaks Catalan), but both of us speaks fluent French - we have been living in Switzerland since 2009. If everything goes well, we expect a son in November 2018, and we feel already now that we could need some help. :) We live in Switzerland, in a small town called Rolle, situated between Geneva and Lausanne. We are passionate about outdoor activities and usually go up to the mountains over the weekend, for trekking or skiing. Or during the hot summer months we stay around Rolle and go to the beach for a swim in the lake. We are looking for an au-pair who is passionate about/enjoys spending time with children and speaks Swedish, Catalan or French. Ideally, he/she already has previous au-pair experience with smaller children (0-2 years old) or similar baby sitting experience. Non-smoker. We commit to paying a salary in line with Swiss norms, arranging a Permis B, paying health insurance, French language course and a telephone card. The au-pair would be living with us in his/her own room, with the possibility to join us in the mountains over the weekends, if he/she wishes to. All services such as train to Geneva/Lausanne, grocery shop, beach, etc. are within walking distance from our home but a car could be at ad-hoc disposal if needed.
Both me and my husband work full time in Geneva, and our daughter goes to kinder garden every day during the week. So will our son do when he reaches 4.5 months, as of April 2019. We are looking for an au-pair who can help us dress and feed our daughter in the mornings - while I am dressing and feeding our new born - and we would then go to kinder garden all together. We would also need some help in the afternoons, as of 4 PM, to pick our daughter and son up from kinder garden. Usually, the au-pair would do this accompanied by my husband. You would then go for a short walk together, maybe stop at the playground, and then go home for some dinner. We usually prepare the children's dinner the day before so it is just a matter of heating it up in the micro wave.
