*Looking for an Au Pair to commence end of January 2018.* Hi there, we are a young family In Melbourne with two children. Kaitlin is 29, works in Marketing, and is born and bred in Melbourne. Steve is 35, is an entrepreneur and is from London. We have a 3 year old son, Abel, and a daughter Amélie who was born in May 2017. We live in an inner suburb of Melbourne, about 20 minute drive from the CBD and close to public transport. We live in a brand new large house which has a separate downstairs area that our Au Pair would have – with a queen bed, living space with couch and TV, an ensuite with shower and storage. Kaitlin is currently on maternity leave but will return to work at the end of January 2018. Steve works full time but is quite flexible so he’s in and out between meetings, sometimes working from home and sometimes working from a shared office in the city. Abel (3) will start at an early learning program at a private school 10mins drive from our house. He will attend 3 days per week from 9am – 3:30pm. Amélie is home full time currently and spends her days sleeping, playing and going for walks. We hope to expand her activities in the new year with her attending playgroups and classes with our Au Pair. On the days that Abel is in care Kaitlin usually catches up on some of the clothes washing (which we’d love some help with!) and preps dinner – we get Marley Spoon delivered each week for our dinners, and tries to prep some dinners in advance for Abel (something else that would be great to get some help with!). Amélie is still sleeping quite a bit – which she’ll do
The primary role for our Au Pair would be to look after Amélie each day, and Abel when he is not at school, as well as dropping Abel to school & picking him up on those three days. A driving licence and experience driving is necessary as you will need to drive to Abel's school, and it will also be helpful to attend any classes with Amelie or Abel, as well as being able to visit attractions, other parks etc. The aim is for Kaitlin to work 5 days, 8:30 – 5:30pm so generally the morning will start around 8:00am and go until either Steve or Kaitlin gets home (Steve can be home quite early most days). Some of the advantages we believe to being our Au Pair would be; • Great house in a great suburb • Close to public transport • A car will be provided, that you can also use in your free time as you please • Private living area with TV, wifi etc. • Private bathroom • We’re pretty relaxed parents and people in general. In the past we have had plenty of our friends stay with us for extended periods so we’re not new to having guests in our house. We would always welcome you to join us in any of our activities if you wish – whether at home or away • Kaitlin’s family have a beach house on the Mornington Peninsula which you’ll of course be able to visit with us if you please • $250 'pocket money' per week, paid weekly • In terms of housework, we’re really only looking for a little bit of help with the kid’s clothes washing, their meals and just keeping their bedrooms and central areas tidy. We try and keep toys in the kids’ bedrooms. We’ve heard horror stories of Au Pairs being left with laundry lists of chores and we’re certainly not about that! We just want our kids to be loved and cared for, and have a great time learning new things; that’s the main priority over any other help in the house
