We're a fun, relaxed, slightly chaotic in large house in a lovely part of a lovely city. Tony and Beccy both work full time, and our two girls (6 & 10) go to school round the corner from the house. In 2017 we hosted 5 different European students who we loved having live with us. We're about to say goodbye to our longest staying student, Lati. We'll all miss her so much! She really feels like one of the family. We decided that the kids got so much out of spending time with these students that they would really benefit from an Au Pair, so for 2018 we would like someone to come and join us and feel part of a happy household. We also have a beautiful dog called Rizla who is, normally, lovely.
About 30 hours per week, with time off in the day to study or do things you need to do (enjoying Brighton, having fun etc etc). Basic responsibilities taking the kids to school, occasional babysitting, and a bit of light housework. Taking the kids to school / looking after them after school: The girls are in school 9.00 to 3.30 very close to the house, and we'd ask you to help with their breakfast and take them to school, then collect them afterwards and give them a meal. Sometimes one of them has a club to go to, but its very close (less than half a mile / less than 10 mins) so making two trips isn't too much hard work :-). We're normally home from work 6.30ish Light housework Mainly just the little things like cleaning up after breakfast, filling the dishwasher etc - just the kind of things you would expect to do in a shared house to keep it looking ok day to day. Babysitting Sometimes we have work things in the evening on a week day, if so we'll give you lots of notice and make sure it doesnt take you over the agreed weekly hours. If was ask you to babysit and you go over your agreed hours, or it is at the weekend, you dont have to do it - and if you do want to babysit then we would pay you extra :-) Cooking We've really enjoyed having people from all over europe cook us the food they like to eat at home, if you would like to eat with us and share your cooking then we'd love you to cook for us as a family occasionally (one night a week?). But if you dont want to thats fine too!
