We are an active family of 5. Our son is 6 and currently in grade 1. Our first daughter is currently 3 and our second daughter is currently 8 mths. We live in a residential neighbourhood in Vancouver, about 10 km from the heart of downtown and accessible by bike, transit, car. We are strong believers in exposing our children to lots of positive experiences and role models. Current activities include biking, swimming, dancing, gymnastics, preschool (for 3 year old), piano, art, soccer. We love the outdoors and are strong believers in play and free-play. We love gardening, hiking, cooking, eating, playing games, exploring, traveling, reading. We also have a cabin in Washington from which we ski and access lake activities. We would welcome an au pair at this space or this would also provide some rest time in Vancouver.
I am just at the front end of my search. I would be looking to have an au pair start September 2018 but could potentially start a bit earlier to overlap with my return to work. In September the children will be 1,4,6. Duties will include: - caring for 3 children between approx 7-4 (note: we can discuss actual hours etc. later). - includes but not limited to: - drop-off and pick-up son from Grade 2 (school is walking distance) - prep kids in the morning (breakfast/change/help pack lunches) - preschool and activity drop for 4 year old - play with 4 year old and 1 year old and or supervise play (ie. If at play gym or park or play date) - be active and outdoors with children - light meal prep - tidy-up after kids (we have someone to clean the house 1x per week + laundry so this just means tidying up after activities)
