Dear Au pair, We are a family of five, me Ola and my wife Kajsa and our three boys, Jacob 15, Victor 13 and Alexander 11. I am 47 years old and run my own business as a consultant and I am also working part-time at a university. My wife Kajsa is a legal counsel and specialized in labor law. We live in the city center of Malmö in a large apartment and we have a smaller 1-room apartment for you. Your apartment is located less than 10 min away by bike. We have an extensive experience with having au-pairs in our family and we think you will feel welcome to stay with us.
We are specifically looking for a native German-speaking au-pair since our two oldest boys are learning German in school and would benefit from some additional German practice at home. The work tasks will almost exclusively be in the afternoon and early evening and consist of helping the boys with their homework after school, conversing with them in German and do some light domestic work such as preparing dinner during weekdays and keeping the house in a nice condition to live in (we have a cleaner that cleans the house thoroughly once per week, but the kitchen and dishes needs to be taken care of every day. Some light cleaning may also be needed in-between during the week). You would also need to take care of the kids’ laundry and make sure they have clean training clothes for their training activities. The boys’ train 4-5 days per week (soccer and taekwondo). We are looking for a person that is responsible, caring and independent. We also hope you can connect to and have mutual interests with the boys, i.e. like computers, games, soccer etc. Since our children are quite old, we can be flexible if you want to combine studying in Sweden with au-pair work. Some of our previous au-pairs have for example studied at the nearby university of Lund and also at Malmö university.
