Personal introduction

We're a family of four living in Fulham zone 2 in London. We're looking for an organised, responsible warm Spanish speaking au pair. We both work in media and encourage our two girls to be creative and curious. Whilst we live near the centre of London there's a good community where we live. We have good friends on our street and there are many restaurants and activities that we enjoy a short walk or cycle away. We have an allotment nearby where we grow our own vegetables. Our children enjoy activities after school including swimming, ballet and tennis.

The Au pair's job

We are looking for an energetic, confident, intelligent and responsible Spanish/English-speaking au pair to come and live with us in central London (Fulham SW6, zone 2) starting September 2017. Both parents are media professionals with busy jobs and Mummy often travels. We have an eight-year-old and a five-year-old – both girls – who go to school Mon to Fri. Both children understand Spanish but English is their first language. We are looking for someone who has experience looking after children and feels confident taking them to after-school activities: ballet, swimming, piano etc. During term time, the successful candidate will be required to help get the girls ready in the morning (around 7am) and walk them to school at 8.30am then pick them up from school at 3.25pm, take them to after-school activities, help with homework, give them their dinner, a bath and put them to bed (8pm is bedtime during the week). Babysitting in the evening two nights a week is part of the job. Cooking healthy meals for the kids is your responsibility during the week and we would expect our au pair to help instil good habits, healthyeating, politeness and good behaviour during meals. We would like our daughters’ Spanish to continue to improve and ask our au pair to talk to them in Spanish every day, read books to them in Spanish and any other fun activities in Spanish as well (singing/dancing?). It is crucial that our au pair is reliable, punctual and independent because when Mummy travels (not more than one week each month), you will be in charge of the children, the house and the cat! We have a lovely cleaner who comes every Wednesday for three hours to do all the heavy cleaning and to change the children’s bedlinens but our au pair will be expected to look after the children’s bedroom/toys/clothes cupboard and help around the house (empty dishwasher, tidying toys, washing up and wiping down kitchen surfaces) as well as doing all the laundry for the ki
