Hi, we are the Du Plessis family and are South African but have been living in the United Kingdom for more than 12 years. There is myself, Tanya (mom), my husband Werner (dad) and our daughter Zoe Bella who is will be 5 in March. We are looking for a positive and responsible like minded au pair who is seeking a new opportunity, who genuinely enjoys working with children and enjoys being outdoors and in nature as we do. We live in a village surrounded by a forest, so this environment will suit a person that enjoys nature and a peaceful environment. As our daughter is an only child, we are looking for an au pair who has a strong personality, can be positive role model for her and who is proactive with fun ideas and activities to do with our daughter and who enjoys spending time outdoors. We would like to open up our home to someone who wishes to become part of a new family, spend time together and is happy to assist with light housework around the house, just as we all do as a family. As we are an active and outdoors family, we are looking for someone that leads a healthy lifestyle and enjoys being active and outdoors and would join us in these activities if they so wish.
In exchange of welcoming you into our loving family, we would expect the priority to be to look after our daughter in terms of getting her dressed and fed in the mornings and to walk her to school at 08.30am and then collect her at 3.15pm after school and to provide a healthy snack. (approx. 25hrs per week). There will be a good few hours in the day where you are free to enjoy your own time but after collecting Zoe from school in the afternoon we would like to have someone spend quality time with her being outdoors, doing arts and crafts, practising sports and helping her for an hour with basic reading and learning. It is important that our au pair is able to speak a intermediate level of English in order to be able to assist our daughter with her reading and homework in the afternoon. I get home for 6pm and my husband is often home from 4pm and we all cook and eat together and chat in the evenings or go for long walks, which you are free to join in on if you wish.
