Hi there and thank you for visiting our profile. We are a young family of 3 people and 2 cats living in London. We are looking for an Au Pair who is able to assist us in caring for and looking after our 1 year old daughter, teach her Mandarin if you possess the language skills too, as well as some housework duties. I am Taiwanese/Australian and my husband is Australian so in our house we speak English and Mandarin (well basic Mandarin). We hope you are the Au Pair we are looking for and if so, please feel free to message us either via other chat platforms or here. Thank you! Eve, Simon & Elysia
We require a live-in au pair, preferably someone who is fluent in English and if possible Mandarin too, to assist in caring for our one year old daughter. Some light housework duties that assists the welfare of our daughter, such as meal preparations, general tidying up, vacuuming, laundry duties etc. alongside other childcare duties such as learning through play, teaching her Mandarin if applicable, nappy changing etc. is required. We also have 2 indoor only cats who will require some attention as well. We will expect a suitable au pair to provide 30 hours of work per week, spread across 5 days per week, averaging about 6 hours per day and in addition provide 1-2 evenings of babysitting duties per week. You will be provided with 2 free days per week. Timing of expected duties will fit around your studies should you wish to attend language school as well. More specific details will be explained during our video interview. Pocket money is more than advised by local Government, plus we will also offer 2 weeks paid holiday to those who sign a 6 months contract, or 4 weeks paid holiday to a suitable au pair who can stay with us for 1 year. In the UK, au pairs are not considered as employees but rather a member of the family, hence pocket money and not a salary. As a result you are not entitled to paid holidays however we as new parents understand how caring for a toddler can be hard work, and so feel that it is important to provide you that time to allow you to recharge, travel and explore should you wish. A happy au pair ensures we have a happy child, and that is first and foremost our main requirement.
