Personal introduction

We are a very friendly and warm family of 2 working parents, our 3.5 year old twins and puppy. We are very inclusive and supportive. Our current au pair has been with with us for a year now and is moving on to start her career. Our aupair before that was with us for 9 months. We also have friends in the area who have aupairs - so theres an opportunity to meet others in the area from the start. We are looking for someone who is warm, loving, sociable and energetic, who likes to learn, enjoys playing with kids and dogs and doesn't mind helping with the cooking and helping out in the house. We both work long hours in London and we need help looking after our twins, taking them to and from school, activities after school, helping with the house (cleaning/tidying, washing, cooking etc...), and a small amount of help on the weekend (your weekends are generally free to enjoy London!) We are looking for an "au pair plus" - which is approx 35 hrs/week and babysitting approximately 2 evenings a week one being a weekend night. You will have your own room, wifi etc, and you are welcome to share meals together, spend time with us and learn with us. Our home is in Edgware - NW London, and there are good transport links (bus and underground) which go all over London, there is also a shopping center nearby - all within walking distance. There are also various English language schools nearby -you will have plenty time to attend an English school as our children are at school 5 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you.

The Au pair's job

We try to be open and honest about what we expect... * Someone who is proactive/genuinely wants to help * Get the twins ready for school in the morning, dressing them and giving them breakfast * Packing their school bags with water and fruit/vegetable snacks. * Walking the twins to and from school which is a 10 minute walk from the house * Some days driving them to activities after school like football or ballet * Looking after the twins and puppy until we get home from work, playing with them and encouraging them to do things like art or play in the garden. * Giving the twins dinner and bathing them / putting them to bed, reading a story if we're not home * Cooking supper for the family in the evening * Helping out with small things like going to the shops for milk or bread * Keeping the house neat, clean and tidy, and putting things away (we have a cleaner once a week who does the heavy cleaning) * Washing and ironing clothes, towels and bed linen It's really important that you are reliable, confident, able to make your own decisions, have a good level of English. Being able to drive is a bonus as is being able to cook. You must enjoy being around children and dogs and want to be part of a warm, loud and busy family environment Non smokers only. Ideally, we would prefer someone to stay at least a year
