We are Gilles and Anne-Luce and are looking for our next Au Pair to look after our nearly 8 years old son Elliot, from mid to late September 2017 until at least end of July 2018. Elliot is an utterly charming little boy, very sweet, easy going, well behaved and very witty! He loves people and loves chatting. He also loves going to the park, playing football, being with his friends, reading, drawing, playing , singing... He has a very happy and charming disposition and likes all things creative. There’s never a dull moment with him really! As a family, we love good dining, cooking… travelling & socializing. I work in Marketing for Nestle, and Gilles manages his own wine business. We live in Redhill (in between Redhill and Reigate very precisely) in a Victorian 4 bedroom house with a good size garden & patio. You have a double room with a double bed! The residential area is lovely, with a strong community feel. The neighbourhood is really friendly. Our street is very unique, in that there are lots of events happening all year long: a big Halloween party, a visit of Santa, a celebration for Easter and a street party in the summer! There are lots of families with young kids. Redhill has excellent connections to London (30mns to Central London by train), as well as a good shopping scene, anda lot of amenities for entertainment: • Parks : Redhill Commons less than 1 min away walking, a big park within a few minutes’ walk and Reigate Priory Park (20 mns walk) • Sports : We have a sports center with all amenities (swimming, gym classes…) less than 5 mins walk away. • The la
As our au pair, you want to discover new cultures, and share yours. A good mutual experience rests on positive open communication, so we’d like someone who speaks good English, who is confident honest, caring and open. You need to be independent, patient and caring.You like communicating, and you like people and kids especially! You must like taking care of children and play and do activities with them. Also being positive, dynamic, have initiative, be motivated and like being active. The duties include walkingour son to/from school (you need to like walking), and managing after school clubs, supporting with homework, and cooking healthy meals. I will also need help with the ironing (Elliot’s clothes), the laundry (loading and unloading washing machine for Elliot’s clothes), cleaning and general housework. There will absolutely be plenty of time for English classes and personal activities, it is very important for us that everyone is happy! Required working hours will be Monday to Friday 7.30 to 9.30& 3.30 to 6.30 pm, with the usual 2 nights baby-sitting per week (but occasional only). We are looking for someone with necessary previous experience of looking after kids. We need someone who will like discussing with Elliot, like taking care of him, and entertain his great sense of imagination. He’s always happy, always smiling, but also very inquisitive, so we need his match!
