Personal introduction

My friends call me Britt, I work for a Builder and I am in the office Saturday-Wednesday 10am-6pm. Therefore, my days off are Thursday & Friday’s. My husband Matt, works in Boston, MA- Monday-Thursday, he is a Nurse Consultant. He has to go to the airport every week Sunday night and comes home on Thursday night. As you can tell, mine and Matt’s schedules do not line up together as we have different day’s off. So about two years ago, we became a host family and our current au pair’s contract will be ending in August.

The Au pair's job

1. Watch, play and care for Robin a. Taking her for walks, going to the park, going to the zoo, museum b. Do arts & crafts together: coloring, painting 2. Dressing Robin & changing her diaper when necessary, bush her teeth 3. Feeding Robin and cleaning up after her dishes or the sweep/vacuum the ground after any mess may have been made, cleaning her bottles after use 4. Put her down for naps 5. Once the diaper pail is full, putting the full bag in the garage trash can and refilling the pail with a new diaper bag 6. Wash, fold and put away her laundry including bed sheets 7. Clean up after her and yourself a. Cleaning your room & Robin’s room b. Make your bed every single day c. Vacuum, dust your room when necessary d. Keeping a uncluttered & clean bathroom 8. Take Robin to the Pediatrician if Brittany/ Matt cannot take her 9. Must be available by either phone/ text at all times when you are caring for Robin or out with our vehicle. 10. Help with giving Robin bath time 11. Be sure at the end of the day all of Robin’s and your own stuff is not laying around the house. Please help straighten up the home once playtime is over (For example toys, bottles, clothes, shoes) 12. Communicate effectively if something happens with Robin, yourself or the home. We think it is important to be up to date even on the minutest things. (For example: the electricity goes out of the home for a few minutes, a knob on a drawer breaks, or if something breaks).
