We are the Stocks, a friendly and sociable young family living in the beautiful French Alps, who enjoys an active lifestyle and spending time together. In our family there is maman Astrid, 36/ French, Papa Malte, 36/ German, as well as Sarah, 4, and her little brother Samuel, 1. Before having children, we used to live abroad (England and Australia) for a long time and travel a lot, so having an Au Pair would be a great way to bring the world to us now that we are a bit more settled. We are both language teachers in an international school in Geneva. As you might have guessed already languages are very important to us, we speak German, French and English at home. We are looking for an Au Pair from end of August 2017 when we go back to work. Your main task would be to look after our little son Samuel, who will be 1 year and half old by then, and Sarah, who will go to school for the second year. As we often have to leave early, you would get Sarah ready and drive her to school, which is just a few hundred metres from our house. You would then pick her up at midday, prepare lunch and look after both of them in the afternoon. As our son will only be 18 months old, it would be preferable for you to have some experience caring for babies and be creative to keep him busy in the morning, offering him a variety of activities outdoor or/and indoor. We have a cleaning lady one a week so you don't have to do much housework, but we would appreciate if you would contribute a bit in the household like the rest of us and clean your own room and bathroom once a week. Being teachers, we finish quite early so usually there is one of us at home by 4 o'clock. From time to time we have to stay at school (e.g. parent's evenings) or maybe want to go out for a meal or meet some friends, so we would ask you to look after the kids in the evening maybe once a week. Having long school holidays and with Malte's family from Germany visiting regularly, there would be ample time for you to go home to see your family or go and travel. We also have Astrid's parents nearby, who look after our children a lot, so we could probably arrange for you to have one day during the week off on top of the weekend. There would be a car at your disposal, too. As mentioned before we like to be active and you would be welcome to join us. For example, we have a flat in the south of France by the sea and another one in a ski resort nearby, so in winter we go for ski weekends regularly. Would you like to come along? Then get in touch :)
