we are a young family of four looking for a vibrant and creative girl to join our family. We have two children. Our girl Willow has just turned 5 and our boy Seth will turn 1 year in a few weeks time. My husband Mike works away for 3 weeks at the time and I work as a nurse in a local hospital. My partner is a kiwi (was born and bred in New Zealand) and I am originally from Belgium but have Australian citizenship. WE speak Dutch and English at home. Both our kids are very sociable and happy creatures. We live next to the beach in a small coastal community called Lennox Head. this beautiful town is only a 15 minute drive from the scenic hippy/tourist town Byron Bay. The area is known to be alternative in lifestyle. Byron bay is the mecca of yoga and surf. The outdoors is a very important part of our lives as well. We usually start the day with a walk/play/swim at the beach. Around 9.30, the little one goes down for his first nap while Willow plays in our outside. She loves crafting and 'reading books' as well as building camps and playing with her dolls. She loves going for bike rides down the beach track behind our house and loves her daily swims in the ocean or at the lake. Indeed we also have a lake in our town that is very popular with young families. We often have BBQ's with other friends and love going on camping trips. We often take off for weekends camping in the bush or national parks. We are surrounded by beautiful nature and the beach so be ready for a lot of fun!! We are looking for a person who is creative, trustworthy and reliable. Willow goes to preschool on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and baby Seth will be going one day a week to daycare. We need someone who can be flexible because I am working full-time shift work. On occasions I will have to work during night times so there has to be someone in the house that can look after our children. I have a monthly roster so the au pair will know which hours she needs to make herself available for that month. We will need you mostly to take care of Seth when we are both at work and Willow is in preschool. On other days, the kids will be both home so you will have the care of two kids. Seth has a good routine and is an easy sleeper. He sleeps through the night. He loves going for walks in his stroller and loves to play at the beach. If you are interested in a language course, there is a school in Byron Bay. A Monday or Tuesday could work for us if you want a day off for this purpose. We will treat you like a member of our family so you are welcome to join us in any activities/ holidays we will undertake in the 6 months of your stay. We call this place our little piece of paradise. I was once a backpacker myself and have seen a lot of this beautiful country but Lennox head is definitely one of the more scenic and family-friendly places in Australia.
