Personal introduction

My wish to become an au pair comes from two important parts of my life: my love of cultural exchange and my growing interest in childcare.After finishing my studies in China, I returned to Thailand and spent much of my time helping with my family's business. During this period, I also had opportunities to help my cousin care for their young child. I found that spending time with the little one brought me a different kind of happiness. I enjoyed helping with daily routines,talking together, and watching the child learn new things. Later, I had the opportunity to work as a childcare assistant at a kindergarten. Caring for children who were not members of my own family helped me understand more about the responsibility involved in childcare. I saw how important it is to support children's development, encourage their curiosity, and make them feel safe and comfortable. My interest in cultural exchange began much earlier. When I was a high school exchange student, I lived in Argentina with a host family of six people for about a year. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I learned Spanish, discovered a new culture, tried different foods, and built relationships with people whose lives were very different from mine. One memory that still makes me smile is meeting a young relative who was around seven or eight years old. The child was cheerful and curious about Thailand and wanted to talk with me, even though we did not share a strong common language at the time. We still tried to communicate, and that experience encouraged me to improve my Spanish. It also showed me how children can bring people closer together, even when they come from different cultures. After my exchange year, I continued my international journey by studying Chinese in Shanghai. These experiences made me realize how much I enjoy living in another country, learning language, and becoming part of a different community. Now, I feel that becoming an au pair is a meaningful way to bring these two interests together. I want to support children as they grow, help parents with daily childcare, and become a caring and reliable person in their home. I also hope to improve my English, learn more about another culture, and share Thai food, traditions, and stories with my host family. Most of all, I would love to become someone the children remember as a kind person who played with them, listened to them, encouraged them, and made their days a little brighter. I know that being an au pair comes with responsibilities and challenges, but I am ready to learn, work hard, and give this experience my best.
