Personal introduction

Becoming an au pair feels like the perfect opportunity for me because I want to experience everyday life in Canada while becoming a real part of a host family. I’ve been interested in Canada and its culture for a long time, and I’m excited about the idea of improving my English, discovering a new environment and meeting people with different backgrounds. But the most important part for me is the family experience. I don’t want to simply visit Canada as a tourist. I want to experience normal family life – having breakfast together, helping with the kids, going to school or activities, spending weekends together and becoming someone the children can feel comfortable around. I would love to bring some of my own culture and traditions into the family as well and learn from yours. I’m also looking forward to becoming more independent, challenging myself and growing as a person during my time abroad.
