Personal introduction
Hello, my name is Leandra and I am 21 years old.
I was born in Ecuador and I have lived in Piacenza, a small city near Milan in Italy, since I was a child.
As soon as I finished school I decided not to continue with my studies because I didn’t find a university degree that interested me, so I decided to roll up my sleeves and start working right away.
I come from a humble background: a simple family made up of my mom and my sister, who is 9 years old now.
She is the reason why I love children and why I feel so connected to them.
Thanks to her I know how to take care of a child from start to finish: from changing diapers, bottles, bath time and naps for a newborn, to taking them to school, helping with homework, cooking and playing.
I learned patience, responsibility and most of all how to make a child feel safe and loved.
For me taking care of children is not a task, it is a relationship.
Right now I feel the need to keep building my own path outside of Italy.
And what could be a better match?
I decided to start this first experience as an au pair because I feel the need for a change and to challenge myself. I want to leave Italy for a while, learn English by living it, and experience a new culture. I am not just looking for a job. I am looking for a family to create a sincere bond with, where I can help with my heart, respect your rules and habits, and become someone you can trust.
I speak Italian and Spanish fluently, they are both part of my identity. I would love to teach both to your children through games, songs, books and everyday life. I have Italian citizenship and I have my own car and driving license, so I can take children to school, to activities, do grocery shopping and help the family with full autonomy and reliability.
I am a positive, organized, caring and very determined person. I love cooking both Italian and Latin dishes, and I believe that spending time together at the table is one of the most important moments of the day.
My availability would start as soon as I find a family and my visa is approved ( if it is necessary ) around August / September, initially for a duration of 6 months.
I truly hope to have the opportunity to meet you and to start this journey together. Thank you so much for reading my introduction.
With love,
Leandra
